Powering the future of network connectivity

Testing Application

Powerful Testing, Future-proof Architecture

Available on the Lab in the Sky platform, the Testing Application is a SaaS solution that delivers powerful testing capabilities—from full end-to-end service validation to deep packet-level analysis—across any network infrastructure or access technology, all through a streamlined, high-efficiency workflow powered by a modern, future-proof architecture redefining what’s possible in testing.

Service-Centric Testing

All Built Around the Customer

The Testing Application, at its core, enables service providers to test end-to-end Ethernet and IP services from the subscriber’s perspective—treating network layers, technologies, and protocols as enablers, and placing the user experience at the forefront.

A broad range of services can be tested—both enterprise and inter-carrier—including E-Line, Access E-Line, and Internet Access, across any infrastructure and a wide array of access technologies such as fiber, GPON, DOCSIS, satellite, and 5G with service attributes and corresponding tests specifically tuned to reflect the complete subscriber experience—from functional behavior and protocol handling to bandwidth delivery and end-to-end performance.

By aligning testing with the end-to-end services, providers can design, engineer, and optimize their networks around a customer-centric layer that sits above the infrastructure—elevating technology into experience.

Frame & Packet Screening

Digging Deeper into Every Bit & Byte

While end-to-end testing validates the service as a whole, the Testing Application also goes deeper—offering powerful frame and packet screening capabilities to fine-tune, inspect, and control traffic at a granular level.

Frame Builder

With the built-in frame and packet builder, users can craft any Ethernet frame or IP packet-configuring every bit and byte through an intuitive interface that also generates a matching hex dump.

Packet Screening

Coupled with screening sessions that define traffic patterns and distributions—from the simplest to the most complex—it enables in-depth, granular analysis of functionality, traffic flow, and performance—ideal for stress-testing, edge-case validation, and simulating intricate scenarios.

Testing Flow

Depth Where It Matters, Speed Where It Counts

he Testing Application delivers a fully integrated, end-to-end test workflow—built for the precision engineers demand and the efficiency teams expect—spanning every step from in-depth service specification using smart tables, to auto-generated test lists tailored to each service, powerful virtual test probes generating up to 100G of traffic, high-performance batch test sessions with advanced debug capabilities, and instant test record issuance that can be securely shared with customers, partners, and colleagues. It leaves nothing untested, with issues detected as quickly as they can be debugged.

Cloud & NFV

The Killer Combo

Built on a cloud-native architecture and powered by NFV-based virtual test probes, the Testing Application promises a before and an after—turning testing from hardware-intensive to software-driven

This future-proof architecture emancipates testing from legacy burdens—delivering operational agility, technical modernity, dynamic scalability, and economic efficiency.

Cloud

The Testing Application runs natively in the cloud, giving users and distributed teams instant, on-demand access to every test function—from service specifications and test lists to test probes, sessions, and records—all with the security, processing power, and elastic compute that come built into the cloud

NFV

The test probe software is 3 things: lightweight, virtualized, and powerful. Lightweight, enabling rapid deployment with minimal compute and memory footprint. Virtualized, allowing dynamic instantiation on cloud or bare-metal infrastructure without dependency on proprietary hardware. Powerful, capable of generating any Ethernet and IP traffic profile at speeds up to 100G.

GUI & API

One Engine, Two Access Modes

The Testing Application offers full functionality through both a graphical user interface (GUI) and a programmatic API—two access modes built on the same engine, ensuring consistency, flexibility, and full control across every testing scenario

GUI

The GUI offers an intuitive, hands-on environment—ideal for interactively defining services, running targeted tests, analyzing results, and troubleshooting live issues. It’s the go-to mode for design, exploration, and real-time validation.

API

The API brings full automation—enabling large-scale test execution, automated regression testing as new software, hardware, services, or configurations are introduced, as well as seamless embedding into broader network and service orchestration workflows.

Together, the GUI and API give teams the flexibility to work hands-on or programmatically—seamlessly blending real-time control with full automation, depending on the testing need.
